In the area of Tacloban and Palo in Leyte, the roads that connect different towns and communities play a very important role in daily life. These roads are used by people going to work, transporting goods, and supporting local businesses. But because of heavy rains and storms that often hit the region, flooding has become a common problem. It causes delays, damages roads, and affects the safety of the people. Because of this, the Network Development - Construction of By-pass and Diversion Roads-Tacloban-Palo Including Drainage System was developed to improve the drainage system and make the roads safer and more reliable.

TThe project used KPMI HDPE Pipes, specifically 1000mm Large Diameter HDPE Pipes, because they are strong and built to last for a long time. These pipes are very effective for drainage systems since they can handle large amounts of water and do not easily get damaged. One important part of the installation is the use of electrofusion jointing, which helps connect the pipes securely so that water will not leak. This makes the system more efficient and reliable, especially during heavy rainfall.
