Infrastructure Excellence in Collaboration with New NAIA Infra Corp.

Executive Summary

Krah Pipes Manila, Inc., the global leader in manufacturing large-diameter High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping systems, is proud to showcase its vital role in the New NAIA Terminal 5 Drainage Project. Developed in collaboration with New NAIA Infra Corp., this landmark infrastructure initiative is strategically located at the previous Nayong Pilipino site.

Designed by the premier engineering and architectural firm Phil. JAC, Inc., Terminal 5 is engineered to drastically increase airport capacity and resilience. To support this vision, Krah Pipes Manila, Inc. is working directly on-site during the critical jointing and installation phases with ArchEn Technologies Inc., the project contractor under San Miguel Corporation (SMC), ensuring a world-class stormwater management system built to last.

Technical Specifications & Strategic Placement

Meeting the rigorous design standards set by Phil. JAC, Inc. requires a drainage network capable of handling massive hydraulic volumes and extreme structural loads. Krah Pipes Manila, Inc. engineered and supplied a versatile range of large-diameter HDPE pipes tailored specifically for this high-stakes aviation environment:

  • ID 2100mm & ID 1400mm: Deployed for main trunklines to manage immense stormwater runoff.
  • ID 1200mm & ID 1000mm: Utilized for secondary collector lines intercepting critical sub-drainage sectors.
  • ID 800mm: Integrated for localized drainage and efficient lateral connections.

High-Load Aviation Footprints

The structural integrity of Krah HDPE pipes makes them uniquely qualified for airport environments where heavy live loads are a constant variable. The systems have been precisely positioned across two critical high-traffic zones:

  • GSE (Ground Support Equipment) Road: Protecting the vital transit arteries used by heavy airport service vehicles and logistics equipment from flooding and subgrade deterioration.
  • International Aircraft Parking Aprons: Installed directly beneath the specialized parking aprons engineered for the aviation industry's heaviest commercial aircraft, specifically the Airbus A380 and the Boeing 777. Krah's advanced profiling technology ensures these pipes absorb and distribute massive aircraft wheel loads without cracking, leaking, or deforming over time.
Collaborative On-Site Execution & Jointing

A defining cornerstone of this project's success is the seamless operational synergy between Krah Pipes Manila, Inc. and ArchEn Technologies Inc. — San Miguel Corporation.

During the critical jointing process, Krah’s technical specialists work hand-in-hand with ArchEn’s on-site engineering teams. Utilizing state-of-the-art electrofusion welding and precision jointing techniques, the collaboration ensures that every single pipe link transforms into a completely homogenous, leak-proof, and monolithic structure. This flawless jointing process eliminates the risk of water infiltration or soil exfiltration, permanently safeguarding the terminal's foundation.

Project Impact: By combining the visionary design of Phil. JAC, Inc., the robust contracting capabilities of San Miguel Corporation through ArchEn Technologies, and Krah's world-class HDPE manufacturing, the New NAIA Terminal 5 is being equipped with a sustainable, flood-resilient drainage network built to international aviation standards.
